Ideal for all manner of dishes, our Minced Venison boasts the standout flavour that sets our wild venison apart, with a very little fat to meat to give tenderness and real taste upon cooking. As such it's a great introduction to just how great our wild venison actually is as a healthy alternative, promising real character and depth of flavour by virtue of the rich moorland hillsides graze upon.

This product is frozen and will defrost whilst in transit to you. Ensure this product is thoroughly defrosted before cooking. We strongly recommend cooking within 24 hours for best quality. This product must not be refrozen.

The wild venison used in our Minced Venison is cut from the shoulder and neck of the animal. Wild meat is noticeably leaner than farmed deer. Mince is a staple of the butcher's trade, but this distinctive lean alternative can become the centre of many mid week meal. Perfect for freezing down as we always supply fresh to your door.

It's good to enjoy venison, with its supremely healthy meat and lean quality, and we source ours from areas where deer management is crucial. Experts estimate there have never been so many deer in the UK, and with an absence of natural predators their sheer numbers threaten to overwhelm natural ecosystems. We source our wild venison from The Duke of Argyll Estate in Scotland and the Fountains Abbey Estate, which is just up the road from us in Ripon, North Yorkshire. The Duke of Argyll Estate is one of the wildest and romantic areas of the British Isles, while the Fountains Abbey Estate supplies us with wild parkland venison as their rangers need to control the numbers carefully. We typically stock Red deer, but occasionally receive Sika and Fallow deer.
