Introduction

A convenient and versatile snack.

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 170°C, Gas 3.
  2. Dry fry diced bacon on a medium heat and set aside.
  3. Place paper cake cases in muffin tray and spread cooked bacon pieces evenly onto base of each case.
  4. Carefully break one egg into each case on top of spread bacon.
  5. Garnish with a fine covering of grated cheese and a little black pepper.
  6. Place on the middle shelf of oven for 10-12 mins.
  7. Remove and serve.

Gaynor's Tip: These delightful buns are novel and so versatile as a convenient breakfast snack or served with salad for lunch. They are most easily eaten from the case with a spoon although with careful effort can be removed.
