Go green for Black Friday. Together with our friends at Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, we're inviting our customers to pay to dedicate a tree. For every tree you help to plant, we'll match it and dedicate one too. If you order any meat additionally, you will receive free standard weekday delivery.
Your tree will be part of Ormsgill Wood, a peaceful spot close to Malham in the south of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Offering fantastic views across Malhamdale, Ormsgill Wood is a short distance from the village of Airton.
All you need to do is the following:
Your contribution will help create new woodlands in the Yorkshire Dales, providing habitat and sequestering carbon. As part of your purchase, you will receive an information pack, with details about your contribution and a certificate, which will be dispatched on the week commencing 30/11/2020. For full terms and conditions see below.
The wood, which catchment forms the headwaters of the river Aire, features more than 20,000 native broadleaf trees including Downy Birch, Silver Birch, Rowan, Hazel, Bird Cherry, Sessile Oak, Goat Willow and Hawthorn. They have been planted to form a series of new gill woodlands which also provide habitat suitable for black grouse.

Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust is a small charity doing big things to support the people, landscape and wildlife and of the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas.
YDMT's projects cover areas as diverse as countryside apprenticeships, supporting local communities, education and outreach, restoring woodlands and wildlife habitats, and improving access and understanding of this special place.
Since 1996, it has supported the planting of 1.5 million trees, restored more than 740 hectares of wildflower rich meadows and conserved the unique heritage features that make the Yorkshire Dales landscape special - like rebuilding walls and restoring village halls.
It has brought more than 14,000 adults and young people from disadvantaged urban backgrounds to the Yorkshire Dales, often for the first time, to enjoy all kinds of activities and adventures in the beautiful countryside - as well provided training opportunities and apprenticeships for young local people to learn countryside management skills.
We have big plans in 2021 to solidify our green credentials. We've already made the switch to a carbon neutral courier, but we are also reviewing our packaging. You can read more about our packaging plans here.
